Nor-East’r is a juried art fair emphasizing a diversity of high quality standards and handcraftsmanship.

Please note that AVNAF gives preference to previous vendors.

The following is available to vendors:

  • Indoor space to be locked during non-business hours, grounds patrolled by security personnel.
  • Courtesy Personnel
  • Free parking and free rustic camping.
  • Access to flush toilets and showers
  • Vendors & family members (LIMIT 2 FREE PASSES PER VENDOR) get free admission to all performances and activities.

The Art Fair is open to all media. All items must be original work and handcrafted by the exhibitor. Manufactured items or those made from a kit are not eligible. In addition, exhibitors may not sell food or drink. The jury shall have the right to ask for removal of items which are not handcrafted and/or which are not representative of photos previously submitted to the jury as part of the application process.

PLEASE NOTE THAT EXHIBITORS WHO AGREE TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR CRAFT RECEIVE THEIR BOOTH SPACE AT REDUCED PRICE OF $45.00.

DEADLINE: The deadline for application is March 15th.

PHOTOS: Four (4) recent photos of your handcrafted items and one (1) photo of a JURYING item in progress are required. Please print your name and a description of the handcraft on the back of each photo. DO NOT SEND SLIDES. Photos will be returned to you (1) if a business sized, self-addressed stamped envelope is enclosed with your application or (2) at the registration booth during set up. Any fees and photos will be returned in the event of non-acceptance.

NOTIFICATION: All exhibitors will be notified by April 15. Information packets with additional details will be mailed to you at that time.

ARTIST SPACES: Spaces are available in blocks of 12’ x 15’ at a rate of $60.00 per booth space. Again vendors who agree to demonstrate their craft receive their booth space for $45.00 Please indicate on your application whether you want indoor or outdoor space. Electricity is available on a limited basis for inside booths only. You will be required to check in at the registration booth during set up to receive your assigned booth number. No booth may be sold or used by anyone other than the assigned exhibitor. No pets allowed.

SET UP: Early set up is not permitted. Set up begins on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. In addition, early dismantling is not permitted. Food Vendors must set up on Friday. All booths must remain open until 4 p.m. Sunday.

BREAKDOWN: 4 p.m. on Sunday

LIABILITY: Exhibitors must carry their own liability insurance and all items are displayed at his/her own risk. All indoor space will be locked during non- business hours and security personnel will be patrolling the Fairgrounds both Friday and Saturday night. The AuSable Valley Noreast’r Association of Folk assumes no liability for injury or loss for any reason to individual exhibitors, their employees, assistants or property. DO NOT BRING PETS!!!

SALES TAX: Each applicant must have a valid Michigan Sales Tax License. Contact the Michigan Department of Treasury at 517-373-0888.

AMENITIES: All exhibitors will receive free parking, free rustic camping with access to flush toilets and showers which will not be available to the public. All exhibitors and immediate family members will also receive free admission to all performances and activities. Limit of 2 passes per exhibitor) Relief courtesy personnel will be provided for all vendors.
